The Customer Care Team at Ball Packaging Europe advises our customers on the launch of beverage innovations. Our specialists can give expert recommendations on the technical requirements placed on the container by a new product, on the food technology aspects to be taken into account and on the factors to be considered in respect of the filling process. Our specialists are also in a position to assess consumption trends and to develop concepts to successfully position beverage innovations on the market.
Food and Drug Law
The European Union, the USA and other national governments have introduced comprehensive standards and regulations relating to the packaging of food and beverages in order to protect the health of the consumer. These regulations and the stipulated value limits are intended to ensure that the packaging optimally protects the food quality and prevents possible detrimental effects.
It is the task of the Regulatory Affairs department to support our customers on all statutory issues. Our specialists also maintain constant contact with various packaging organisations and groups of experts in Europe to keep up to date with the regulations relating to food contact materials and production processes.
Packaging performance
Our specialists from Customer Technical Service Europe in Bonn are able to constantly improve the packaging performance by analysing the double seaming performance, checking the oxygen content in the headspace of the can and examining the performance of the beverage can on the customers filling lines.
The CTS Europe can refer to the expertise of the Ball Packaging Europe Technical Center in order to guarantee optimal packaging performance. At the Technical Center, laboratory facilities are available to analyse possible interaction between the beverage and the container. Using the so-called "quick test", our specialists can carry out risk analyses at very short notice and make recommendations on shelf life.
